IPAA Responds to Interior Nominee Haaland’s Confirmation Hearing

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources’ hearing this week to consider the confirmation of Rep. Deb Haaland as Secretary of the Department of Interior, the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) released the following statement: 

IPAA President & CEO Barry Russell: “We are pleased the nominee for Secretary of the Department of Interior has recognized the importance of oil and natural gas and the multiple use mandate given to the Department of the Interior by Congress to manage the federal estate. We hope to continue working with her and the department on the role independent oil and natural gas producers play in both providing energy for Americans and lowering our country’s environmental footprint.”
