WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) congratulates Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt on his confirmation as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). IPAA President and CEO Barry Russell issued the following statement:
“IPAA congratulates Scott Pruitt on his confirmation to lead the Environmental Protection Agency under the Trump administration. Coming from the energy-producing state of Oklahoma, Mr. Pruitt understands the critical importance of implementing policies that both support our economy and protect the environment. Having a clear and fair regulatory framework is critical for independent producers, companies that work every day to safely produce the energy we all rely upon to power our everyday lives while ensuring the environment is protected, conserved, and restored in a balanced, commonsense manner.
